Life Lessons For Actors Inspired By The MCU

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the biggest blockbuster franchises in Hollywood. With A-list movie megastars such as Chris Pratt, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and more bringing iconic superheroes to life; the MCU franchise is truly a world of its own.

Every time you open Netflix, there’s a new superhero show up for binge-watching, and with new Avengers movies coming out practically every other year, Hollywood is totally onboard with the juggernaut superhero trend. But it’s not just Hollywood; fans all over the world have formed veritable cults dedicated to all things Marvel and superhero related.

The reason for their boom in popularity is not just the thrilling fight scenes and larger-than-life spectacles; there’s an ironic human element to the superhero movies as well. Let’s see the top lessons the MCU can teach aspiring actors.

Persevere – Captain America: The First Avenger

Steve Rogers, a scrawny, unimpressive Brooklynite went on to become one of the nation’s most awe-inspiring superheroes. Earlier on in the film, we see Steve being beaten up in an alley by a much more formidable and larger opponent. But determined and perseverant to the bone, Steve dealt with the adversity head on and didn’t give up. It’s this perseverance and quiet strength that ultimately made him the successful hero he is today.

Just Be Yourself – Spiderman, Captain America: Civil War

Peter Parker may be your average teenager on the surface, but one radioactive spider bite later, he becomes the stuff of legends. In the movie, we see that even though Peter has gone on to achieve a whole other level of fame, he still tries to stay true to who he is as a person.

Listen – Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange’s fall from an audacious, God-complex mired surgeon to a person who got both his hands shattered in an accident is a tale filled with many lessons. While on his quest to find a new purpose to bring back motivation and energy to his life, Dr. Strange finds himself having to take a step back and listen to what’s being told to him. He must adapt himself to take direction and as actors, that’s one lesson that definitely needs to be learned!

Tomorrow Will Be Another Day – Ant-Man

Following a slew of some shady mistakes, Scott Lang finds himself thrown into jail. After being released from prison, he’s all set to turn his life around and make changes, but life has some other things planned out for him. While he falls into one predicament after the other, the lesson we can gather from him is that each day is a new day and what you have to do is dust yourself off and get back up again, no matter what the setback.
